Beautiful, authentic antique French coat rack (portemanteau) made of solid cast iron, dating from the late 19th century (approx. 1880-1900). This piece was brought directly from France by the previous owners around 1976 and features a stunning weathered patina that highlights its antique character.
The coat rack is designed in a classic style with a twisted central column, elegant scrollwork ornaments, and a decorative finial.
Condition: Excellent condition and fully stable (no wobbling in the central shaft).
Hooks: Equipped with several ornate, rotating coat hooks at the top—ideal for an efficient hallway layout.
