A truly breathtaking antique Japanese Imari bowl, richly decorated in the classic Imari colors: cobalt blue, iron red, and green, on bright white porcelain. The centerpiece is formed by a majestic blue dragon – in Japanese culture the symbol of strength, protection, and prosperity – surrounded by graceful panels featuring colorful birds and flowers in a harmonious, undulating design.

This bowl is estimated to date from the late 19th century – Meiji period (circa 1868–1912). The characteristic combination of the central dragon, the paneled bird and floral decorations, and the typical Imari palette pointer strongly suggest this illustrious period in Japanese porcelain art. This makes the bowl an authentic antique object estimated to be over 130 years old.
