Beautiful 3-piece Mid-Century Teak Bedroom Set
For sale: A magnificent and completely original 3-piece mid-century design bedroom set, produced in the 1960s.
This set is made of warm teak veneer and exudes the sought-after organic, Scandinavian/Danish style that set the tone at the time. The absolute hallmark of this series are the iconic, open-worked wooden V-legs, giving the furniture an elegant and 'floating' appearance.
After all these years, the set has remained uniquely complete and is in beautiful vintage condition with all original, authentic factory features.
The set consists of:
1. Large XL Wardrobe (4-door)
• Style: Sleek, handleless and minimalist design.
• Interior: Very complete and equipped with the original, functional features
: a built-in long dressing mirror with wooden brush holder on the inside of the door, an original white plastic tie/belt holder and a practical layout with shelves and clothes rails.
• Transport: The cabinet is fully and easily dismountable, making it easy to transport and move. On the inside, it features the original factory assembly stamps (set number '126').
2. Matching Chest of Drawers / Dresser
• Style: Equipped with 4 spacious, smoothly running drawers with the characteristic solid wood, trapezoidal geometric handles. One drawer still needs a slight refurbishment.
• Base: Rests on the exact same elegant V-legs as the wardrobe.
3. Matching Wall Mirror
• Style: Beautiful organic design with rounded corners. The frame at the bottom runs in a subtle V-shape that perfectly matches the legs of the cabinets. The glass is mounted with the original vintage chrome clamps. Perfect to hang above the chest of drawers to create a dressing table.
Condition of the furniture:
The set is in beautiful, used vintage condition appropriate for its age (1960s). The constructions are solid, one original key is present, a magnet has been added to one lock to make the cabinet close better, the plastic interior parts are still fully intact.
Dimensions:
• Wardrobe: l 2m20, h 1m80, b 57 cm
• Chest of Drawers: l 1m, h 85 cm, b 45 cm
• Mirror: h 80 cm, b 50 cm
The set is preferably sold as a whole.
