In 2001, B&B Italia challenged Vincent Van Duysen to design a furniture collection. Perhaps because he is an architect and not a true furniture designer, Vincent Van Duysen decided that the objects he designed should not be a drastic reinvention. Instead of setting a new standard, the collection presents an interpretation of classics.
The swivel base of each chair enhances comfort and communication. By gradually thinning the back and increasing the chair's width, the addition of armrests is unnecessary, offering a different level of comfort.
Although the chairs have a contemporary design, their simplicity and variety of materials make them flexible in use and environment.
