The shades are made of mercury glass and were formerly often used in factories and stores as the mirrored glass gives a beautiful light. These lamps have new wiring and work on a large E40 socket. The mercury on the shades is some spots a bit worn as seen in the photos. Ready to use, only a chain and ceiling cap needs to be provided. Dating is in the 1930s.
