About this seller
ProfessionalProduct description
Model 411 Armchair, Czechoslovakia, 1930s
Exceptional cantilever armchair attributed to Thonet / TON, model 411, originally produced in Czechoslovakia in the 1930s.
This iconic modernist armchair features a chromed tubular steel frame in excellent original condition, combined with elegant wooden armrests, newly refinished in a warm, understated stain that respects the original character of the piece.
The chair has undergone a complete professional restoration:
original chrome preserved and cleaned
new internal fillings
newly upholstered in a high-quality geometric fabric by Romo
all structural elements checked and stabilized
The result is a piece that retains its historical integrity, while offering contemporary comfort and visual clarity.
A timeless example of Central European modernism, perfectly suited for both private interiors and curated design collections.
