Product description
A pair of lounge chairs made in Germany in the 1970s, drawing on the Bauhaus tradition of modernist tubular steel furniture. The chromed steel frame forms a single, smoothly bent line, running from the floor runners through the front legs and armrests up to the back frame. This gives the chairs a light, graphic silhouette, while the wide runners keep them stable. The mirror shine of the chrome contrasts nicely with the dark brown upholstery.
The seat and back form a single cover that hangs loosely from the frame, made of dark brown fabric with button tufting. This lets the fabric adapt to the body, while the low seat and reclined back offer a relaxed, comfortable lounging position. The chairs suit a living room, study or waiting area, and set facing each other they create a cosy conversation corner.
The chairs are preserved in their original, very good condition. They show only minor signs of use consistent with their age.
