Price for lamp including shade
This exceptional accent lamp was upcycled from an original Bay Keramik vase from the late 1960s. It is model 63-40, designed by Bodo Mans, one of the most influential designers of West German Pottery. His designs are characterized by their sculptural forms, powerful reliefs, and expressive glazes, and are highly prized by collectors worldwide.
Series 63 is among Bodo Mans' most distinctive works. The striking contrast between the light stoneware, relief-decorated central section and the deep red areas at the neck and base is particularly noteworthy. The relief medallions with floral ornaments are reminiscent of architectural facades or historical stone reliefs. Together with the geometric structures, they create a sculptural effect clearly influenced by Brutalist design—powerful, monumental, and exceptionally decorative.
The handcrafted lampshade is covered with high-quality Japanese cotton fabric. The elegant crane motif in black, cream, and red harmonizes beautifully with the red accents of the ceramic. The red decorative band echoes the vase's glaze, uniting the shade and base into a cohesive whole. When illuminated, it creates a warm, atmospheric light that beautifully highlights the ceramic's textured surface.
Dimensions:
– Total height of the lamp: 73 cm
– Vase: 40 cm high
– Lampshade: 30 × 31 cm
Conversion to a Lamp

Technical Details
The lamp features a standard E27 socket. The cable is inserted directly into the black socket from the back, leaving the ceramic untouched and eliminating the need for drilling.

An exceptional, one-of-a-kind piece that combines the expressive ceramic art of Bodo Mans with contemporary Japanese textile design.
