Spectacular cane with an internal horse measuring device, made of bamboo wood with a silver-plated metal ferrule, from the early 20th century. Bamboo wood was very popular at that time, and the very rounded curved shape of the handle also responded to the fashion of the moment.
It is a very original piece due to its dual utility, as a walking stick and an equestrian tool, which gives it high functional and historical value. Canes were also fashion accessories and status symbols. Since ancient times, these types of pieces have held great importance. Babylonians did not leave their homes without carrying a well-crafted hand cane with a symbolic ornament that distinguished the hierarchy of the person carrying it.
