About this seller
ProfessionalProduct description
Decorative Art Deco ceramic bowl in the style of Bartolomeo Rossi (1864–1955), a key figure of Ligurian art pottery and founder of the C.A.S. (Ceramiche Artistiche Savonesi) manufactory in Savona. Rossi's pieces of the 1920s and 1930s are known for their vivid palette of deep browns, ochres, yellows, warm reds and oranges in floral motifs with bold dark outlines. The wavy, ruffled rim, typical of Albisola and Savona ceramics, gives the traditional form a dynamic, modern look in the spirit of Futurism and Art Deco.
Dimensions: 16.5 x 13.5 x 6 cm (6.5 x 5.3 x 2.4 in).
Condition: good, with minor signs of age.
