This is a pendant lamp by the Italian manufacturer Barovier & Toso, one of the oldest and most prestigious glassworks on Murano. It is the Gotodario/9 model, a design that combines the rich tradition of Venetian glass with a dynamic, modern aesthetic.
The lamp consists of a black metal frame with nine flexible arms, each ending in a unique, hand-blown Murano glass calyx. Each calyx features a vibrant, speckled color palette with shades of yellow, blue, red, and orange. This technique, characteristic of Murano, ensures that no two calyxes are exactly alike and creates a playful and artistic lighting effect. The lamp is designed for nine light sources of a maximum of 40 watts each.
This lighting object is in very good condition, retaining its original structure and the clarity of the glass. The overall condition testifies to careful use over the years, allowing the piece to retain its authentic character.
