Barcelona, Day-Bed 90s
Barcelona, Day-Bed.
The design dates back to 1930 and was created by Ludwig Mies van der Rohe. It exudes the same simple elegance as the iconic armchair of the same name. Mies van der Rohe’s mastery of lines and materials across all disciplines, from architecture to furniture, has helped define modern design language.
The Day Bed is upholstered in black tufted leather and is in good vintage condition. The structure rests on polished stainless steel legs.
The straps under the seat cushion have been re-tensioned.
The solid wood base is in very good condition, with some minor scratches, and has discolored slightly over the years. Wear as shown in the image.
This piece of furniture was purchased in the 1990s from 'De Kastoor Interieur' in Amsterdam. From the first owner.
