Product description
Beautiful, heavy hand-blown glass vase by the world-renowned glass master Alfredo Barbini. This sculptural object is crafted in a deep ruby red color ("Rosso Rubino") that transitions beautifully to a clear base.
What makes this piece special is the refined "Molato" technique. After the vase was blown, the entire surface was hand-faceted with a geometric facet or honeycomb pattern. This creates brilliant play of light and a unique tactile experience. The vase is an iconic example of Italian Mid-Century Modern design from the 1970s.
