About this seller
ProfessionalProduct description
This is a large format serving tray from the 1970s, made of bakelite. The piece is distinguished by its textured finish, which emulates the appearance of frosted or cracked glass, and by its wavy-edged silhouette.
Made of bakelite, an early plastic known for its durability and heat resistance, this tray features a functional and aesthetic design. Its generous dimensions are 58 cm wide by 45 cm deep, making it ideal for multiple uses. The color is transparent, allowing the intricate surface texture to be the main focus. Its design is representative of the 1970s style, which explored new forms and materials.
The tray is in very good condition, consistent with its age and careful use. It has maintained its structural integrity and original finish without significant alterations, preserving the distinctive character of its era.
Thanks to its versatile size and design, this piece can function as a serving tray for drinks or appetizers, or as a central decorative object on a coffee table, sideboard, or console. It integrates harmoniously into vintage, retro, or eclectic style interiors.
