In the 80s, metal was no longer cool and austere, but could also tolerate color, shine, and a bit of future. This Sideboard by Balton shows how Postmodernism rethought the storage furniture: a steel frame with a chrome finish, four compartments with sliding doors made of glass and metal, which can be opened or closed as needed.
The sliding doors run on small wheels, the glass surfaces reflect the light, the construction remains visible. This piece from the 80s is in good condition, shows age-related signs of wear on the metal and indicates that it has had a life before. The sliding doors for the middle compartments are included and let you decide what you want to show and what not. It has been around for a few decades and still fits into any office or living room that doesn't want to be taken too seriously.
