Private sellerProduct description
For sale, an authentic bilateral desk letter scale from the famous German manufacturer Jakob Maul, dating from the 1930s-1950s. A very beautiful collector's or decorative object, ideal for furnishing an office or a retro / industrial style interior.
This high-precision mechanical model works with a double-graduated balance system (hence the bilateral designation):
• Lower scale: from 0 to 100 grams (for light mail).
• Upper scale: up to 500 grams (when the balance tips for parcels).
Features and condition:
• Materials: Black lacquered steel base, structure and upper tray in polished golden brass.
• Aesthetic condition: Superb vintage condition, showing traces of time. The brass is shiny, the black paint of the base is clean and well preserved, and the black and white measuring dials are clear and legible.
• Functionality: Perfectly functional, the mechanism tips smoothly.
• Dimensions: Height approximately 20 cm.
Authentic and very well-maintained period object. Fast shipping, highly secure bubble-wrapped packaging.
Traces of wear: on the tray and the base
