Product description
Characterful vintage desk lamp by BAG Turgi, from the 1940s. The reduced, functional design language with the bent metal arm, the oval base, and the wide-flared metal shade is typical for early Swiss work and office lamps.
The lamp is finished in a dark brown tone with a textured, period-typical wrinkle or crinkle lacquer. The shade is connected to the arm via a mechanical joint and can be adjusted in inclination, allowing the light to be precisely directed onto the work surface. The light-colored inside of the shade supports good light reflection.
The lamp has a distinct age patina and thus appears very original. The solid oval base ensures a stable stand, while the bent arm gives the lamp its elegant silhouette.
Condition: Authentic vintage condition with clear signs of age and use. Paint abrasion, scratches, small imperfections, and signs of wear are visible on the base, arm, and shade. The joint also shows patina and age-related discolorations.
Dimensions: L36 x W14 x H40 cm
