Product description
Characterful vintage desk lamp by BAG Turgi, from the 1940s. The reduced, functional design language with the curved metal arm, the oval base, and the wide metal shade is typical for early Swiss work and office lamps. The lamp is finished in a dark brown tone with a structured, period-typical shrink or wrinkle lacquer. The shade is connected to the arm via a mechanical joint and can be adjusted in inclination, allowing the light to be precisely directed onto the work surface. The light-colored inside of the shade supports good light reflection. The lamp has a pronounced age patina and thus appears very original. The solid oval base ensures a secure stand, while the curved arm gives the lamp its elegant silhouette. Condition: Authentic vintage condition with clear signs of age and use. Paint abrasion, scratches, small imperfections, and signs of wear are visible on the base, arm, and shade. The joint also shows patina and age-related discoloration. Dimensions: L36 x W14 x H40 cm
