Product description
A tranquil and powerful work by Babette Degraeve: a young boy with wings, understated yet determined.
The boy sits on a simple, sculptural chair that reinforces the restrained posture and gives the work added vertical tension.
The sculpture depicts vulnerability without weakness, a recurring theme in Degraeve's oeuvre.
The sculpture is finished with a refined blue-green patina, subtly revealing warm copper and bronze nuances.
These natural oxidation tones give the work a timeless, almost archaeological appearance. Contemporary and classic in a single form.
Purchased at Galerie Mi (Baarn) in June 2024. Invoice available.
A solitary statement piece that instantly enhances a space. Suitable for a minimalist interior, gallery-style setting, or a prestigious environment.
Asking price: €5,900
