Presented at the 37th Salon des Artistes Décorateurs in Paris in 1953, this iconic light fixture embodies the rigorous elegance of post-war French design. • Dual lighting: diffused light upwards via the shade, and directed light via the conical reflector • V-shaped stem in black lacquered tubular metal, feet ending in circular glides • Perforated conical reflector in black lacquered metal • Circular shade in white lacquered metal • Dimensions: H 180 × W 60 × D 61 cm • Excellent vintage condition A sculptural and functional object, in the spirit of French modernist design alongside the work of Serge Mouille, Pierre Guariche, and Jean Boris Lacroix.
