Special edition of the Memory lamp by the Belgian design brand Axis71, designed by Stéphane Lebrun. The lamp features an exceptionally large square shade of approximately 65 × 65 cm, finished in black with an intense fuchsia interior. The shade rests on a compact dark brown metal base of 22 × 22 cm. It is precisely this almost disproportionate ratio that gives the lamp its strong, sculptural appearance. The lighting effect is also remarkable. The light reflects off the fuchsia interior of the shade, creating a warm glow, whereas when switched off, the lamp is an understated, almost completely dark object. According to the original Axis71 label, this particular piece was produced in October 2008 and is Made in Belgium. The Memory collection was available in various sizes, textures, and color schemes. The 65 cm shade and 22 cm base are both from the Memory family. This specific combination deviates from the standard configurations documented in later Axis71 catalogues.
