Product description
This vintage automaton cylindrical clock presents a captivating mechanical display, featuring a swimming fish motif. The piece combines intricate clockwork engineering with decorative artistry, making it a distinctive collector's item. Constructed with a brass base and framework, the clock is enclosed by an etched glass dome that enhances its visual depth. The glass is detailed with delicate fish patterns, complementing the internal automaton mechanism where small, painted fish figures rotate. The brass components exhibit elaborate embossed patterns, adding texture and historical character to the design. The time is indicated on a rotating numerical band positioned centrally within the dome. The clock remains in good condition, with its mechanical elements reported to be in working order. The brass shows a natural patina consistent with age, and the etched glass is intact, preserving the intricate details of the original craftsmanship. This automaton clock serves as a fascinating focal point for a study, library, or living room. It pairs well with classic or eclectic interiors, offering both functional timekeeping and a conversation-starting mechanical display.
