Product description
Authentic Makkum / Tichelaar – hand-painted polychrome trumpet vase – approx. 1960 Beautiful authentic vintage vase by Makkum / Tichelaar, made of hand-painted and glazed earthenware (faience). The vase has a characteristic trumpet shape and is richly decorated in a beautiful polychrome color palette with cobalt blue, turquoise/green, white, and reddish-brown. The hand-painted decor and traditional shape give the vase a distinct Dutch vintage look. Dimensions: • Height: approx. 25 cm • Width: approx. 16 cm Period: presumably approx. 1960–1975. The vase is in very beautiful and undamaged condition. There are no chips, cracks, or restorations. The craquelure that is visible is exclusively on the inside of the upper white part and seems to be related to use/flower water. The exterior has remained particularly beautiful. A charming and decorative object for lovers of Makkum pottery, Tichelaar, Dutch ceramics, and vintage interior pieces. The combination of the characteristic shape, the hand-painted decor, and the beautiful colors makes this a real eye-catcher.
