This is a Mafrash as used by Shahsevan nomads who still live today in southern Azerbaijan and northern Iran. Now they no longer make these bags. This one is at least 80 to 100 years old, and still looks like new. They were used as bags to carry household goods when they were traveling to new grazing lands or, as here, turned over to use in the tent as a bench. Occasionally as a crib. So this is handmade in a different time and this is becoming rare because it is not remade. You need to make your own box to put the mafrash around it as a bench. I will send the mafrash in a box by mail.
