This is not a standard reproduction, but an authentic handmade bronze statue of the Shakyamuni Buddha from the mid-20th century. Crafted in the Kathmandu Valley, this piece showcases the artistry of Newari bronze founders before mass production took over.
Craftsmanship in Detail
The statue features extensive manual finishing. The edges of the robes are hand-chiseled, making each piece unique. The deep, natural patina bears witness to decades of presence and devotion. The open base reveals the authentic casting marks of the lost-wax process.
