Unique Moroccan Taznakht Rug From 1975 – Hand-knotted Wool From Family Ownership (335 X 160 Cm)
Description: Offered due to surplus: A beautiful, 100% original and finely handmade Moroccan Berber rug from the famous Taznakht region (Ait Ouaouzguite). This rug has been in our family's possession since 1975 and was brought back directly at that time. It is a unique mid-century heirloom over 50 years old, characterized by its clean, traditional geometry and high-quality weaving. Not a modern replica, but pure craftsmanship. Because we unfortunately no longer have a suitable place for it, the rug has been carefully stored away for some time. It may now move to a new home where it will receive the attention it deserves. The rug has a warm, deep brick-red base color with geometric patterns in vibrant orange and yellow. The absolute eye-catcher is the beautifully aligned, contrasting medallion in the center with deep blue and green hues. Thanks to its length of 3.35 meters, this is an XL size, ideal for a large living room, a spacious hallway, or under a dining table.
Material Specifications & Traditional Craftsmanship: 100% Pure Handwork by Women: The wool for this rug was entirely hand-washed, carded, and spun with a hand spindle by the weavers themselves. Self-Dyed: The women then dyed the wool themselves in a traditional way to create this unique and vibrant palette. Wool from their own flock of local mountain sheep from the Taznakht region was used.
