About this seller
Private sellerProduct description
Beautiful original Art Deco mirror cabinet from circa 1930-1940, crafted in warm walnut with a stunning honey-colored grain. This piece of furniture likely originates from Czechoslovakia and exudes the quality and elegance for which Central European Art Deco furniture is known.
The design is typically Art Deco: sleek, symmetrical, and stylish. The large central mirror is flanked by two folding side mirrors, creating a beautiful triptych mirror. Beneath the mirror is a low sideboard with storage cabinets on either side and, in the center, a display cabinet with glass sliding doors. The robust, beveled block legs and the beautiful wood grain make this piece of furniture a true eye-catcher.
An original factory stamp is located on the back, underscoring the authenticity of the furniture.
The original mirrors show some signs of age and use, befitting their age of nearly 100 years. The furniture itself also shows light signs of use and age that contribute to the authentic character and charm of this special piece. (see photos)
There is minor damage to the veneer on one of the doors (see detail photo). This has been factored into the pricing.
A unique and atmospheric piece of furniture for lovers of Art Deco, vintage, and characterful interiors. This mirror cabinet is part of a special Art Deco collection. In our other listings, you will also find two matching wardrobes and two matching bedside tables. Additionally, we offer various other vintage furniture items.
