Product description
This is the Auping Arielle (tilt) bed, an iconic design by Wim Rietveld from the 1950s. The bed distinguishes itself through its minimalist, industrial design and the characteristic spiral base that made Auping famous. The frame is crafted from robust metal, finished in a neutral grey shade that emphasizes the clean lines of the design. The construction demonstrates the functionality and simplicity typical of mid-twentieth-century Dutch Design. The spiral base is supported by subtle green accents at the attachment points, adding a refined detail to the whole. The bed is in good condition, commensurate with its age and previous use. The original finish and character of the furniture have been well preserved, allowing it to retain its authentic appearance. This Arielle daybed looks excellent in a modern, industrial, or vintage-inspired interior. It can serve as a stylish guest bed or as a striking daybed in a spacious living room or study.
