I bought this pendant lamp 40 years ago at a curio shop. They said it was from the 19th or early 20th century, and the semi-transparent opaline glass created a diffuse, soft light. Furthermore, the porcelain suspension system with a pulley and lead rings was/is quite special. That's why I bought it, which cost 385 guilders at the time.
The lamp hung in my previous home for a while; it certainly gives off a beautiful, soft light and creates a wonderful ambiance. It's also great that you can adjust the height of the lamp using the pulley system.
Anyway, a different house, a different decor, the lamp is ready for a new owner who will also appreciate its beauty and uniqueness!
