A distinctive asymmetrical wooden chair from the Netherlands, dating from the 1970s. The design is clearly inspired by Gerrit Rietveld’s iconic Steltman Chair, designed in 1963, with its characteristic geometric construction and strong modernist aesthetic.
Constructed from solid wood and finished in white lacquer, the chair is composed of intersecting horizontal and vertical planes that create a striking sculptural silhouette. Its unconventional form, architectural presence and aged painted surface give the piece a particularly characterful appearance.
Condition
Very good vintage condition, with minimal signs of wear consistent with age and use.
