Leonard Pieter Batenburg
The urge to create things runs like a common thread through Leonard's life. He has had his own studio since 2010. The name BAAT, a nickname from his youth, was quickly found.
Leonard was trained as a furniture maker. This is evident in his artworks, in which relief and depth are incorporated in 3D. Fluorescent paint has been used in many works, creating the illusion that light sources are incorporated.
