This characterful solid oak bench is a special piece of Dutch heritage, originating from the Sacred Heart Church in Utrecht East. The austere, powerful design shows clear influences of the Amsterdam School and the Arts & Crafts movement from the 1920–1930 period.
The furniture is crafted from solid oak and constructed using traditional mortise and tenon joints, testifying to high-quality craftsmanship. The bench features a dark-stained, original finish and is adorned with beautiful paneling in the backrest and wide armrests. The dimensions are 155 cm in width, 93 cm in height, and 48 cm in depth, with a seat height of 47 cm.
The bench is in authentic condition and has acquired a rich, dark patina over the years. The construction is very solid and completely stable, making the furniture ready for immediate use.
Thanks to its compact size and timeless appearance, this bench serves perfectly as a hall bench, dining bench, or reception desk. The design comes into its own in both a classic, monumental interior and a more contemporary setting.
A second, identical bench is available. Ideal as a symmetrical arrangement at a long dining table, in a hallway, or for project furnishing. Both benches are available separately, but together they form a beautiful ensemble.
