This rare M-Chair was designed by Hans Ebbing, Ton Haas and Paul Schudel as part of a commission for the Academy of Visual Arts in Arnhem, the Netherlands, initiated by their teacher and well-known Dutch designer Gijs Bakker. Their research focused mainly on the idea that a designer should have complete freedom in his work, without production restrictions or commercial interests. The result was this elegant M chair. It was recognized by the Dutch manufacturer Artifort, which put the chair into production in 1980, which would be acquired by 't Spectrum in the following years. Unfortunately, not many chairs were sold, production limitations made the chair too expensive. The M-Chair is currently out of production and a real rarity on the design market. This M-Chair has blue lacquered wooden panels and a bright yellow fabric seat. The chair is in original and very good condition! A unique item for the discerning design collector.
