This is the Cabinet 01, a striking sideboard designed by Bert van der Aa in 2003 for the renowned Dutch manufacturer Artifort. The design is characterized by clean, horizontal lines and a floating effect, giving it a distinctly modernist appearance.
The piece of furniture is finished in a bright red color and crafted from wood. The construction consists of three wide drawers resting on a sturdy, recessed base, making the solid volume appear visually lighter. The dimensions are 160 cm in width, 45 cm in depth, and 80 cm in height. The inside of the drawers features dividers, and the Artifort logo is subtly incorporated into the material.
The cabinet is in good condition with characteristic signs of use consistent with its age. There are scratches on the inside of the first drawer and some small chips on the outside. See photos. The original finish has been preserved, and the drawers function properly.
This sideboard looks excellent in a modern or minimalist interior. It not only offers generous storage space but also serves as a powerful color accent in a living room, dining room, or spacious hallway.
