The Mobilis is a chair designed by Marcel Wanders for Artifort in the 1980s.
The armchair can recline from a lounge/reclining position to a more upright/sitting position. Very beautiful design.
Sitting position: width 65, height 115, length 97 cm, seat height 36.
Lounge position: width 65, height 93, length 118 cm, seat height 34.
I bought this chair for a house where it fit; see photos 1, 2, and 3. In our new house, there is no room for this eye-catcher.
The armchair is now in the bedroom. We bought it in 2020, and the chair still looks beautiful. The original cushion is still included. See photo 13. However, the cords were missing when I bought it in 2020. I had a leather connection with elastic made by a bag maker so that the cushion can easily move up and down and be easily repositioned when the chair is tilted to the sitting or reclining position. It worked very well.
There is one very small stain on it. See the last photo.
The chair is no longer being manufactured. Selling prices vary between €750 and €3,400; that is what I have seen. I have moved the price from €1,450 to €1,250 and am boosting the ad in the hope of selling it.
