This is the Pirce pendant lamp, an iconic design by Giuseppe Maurizio Scutellà for the Italian manufacturer Artemide. The piece is characterized by its sculptural form, which creates a sense of weightlessness and movement. The Pirce is not just a light source, but an art object that brings a dynamic play of light and shadow into the space.
The lamp is made from a single disc of gold-colored lacquered aluminum, which is laser-cut and then formed into a spiral structure. This technique results in a flowing, organic shape that offers a different perspective from every angle. The integrated LED light source is hidden in the lower shell and projects an indirect, diffused light upwards, which is reflected by the spirals and spreads a soft, atmospheric glow.
The overall condition of the lamp is good, retaining its original finish and structural integrity. The gold-colored finish gives it a warm and refined appearance.
