E Alesia is a design by Caro Forcolini from 1981 for Artemide. It is, in every respect, a striking and distinctive lamp: a large white aluminium disc incorporating a 12-volt transformer and an extension mechanism, a thin black metal shaft for the power supply, and a small white aluminium hemisphere with a GY6.35 fitting and a reflector for a LED version. The minimum height of the lamp is 110 cm and can be infinitely extended to 220 cm by manually extending the shaft. The ceiling rose has a diameter of 30 cm and the diffuser 12 cm. All visible parts are in excellent condition, with some minor scratches typical of wear and tear on a metal lamp at least 30 years old. An explicit choice for minimalist design, preferably placed above a round black dining table with, for example, a diameter of 160 cm.
