Product description
This table lamp is a creation by Muller Frères, dating from the Art Nouveau period, around 1920. It stands out for combining a sculptural wrought iron base with a glass paste shade, a characteristic example of the École de Nancy's craftsmanship.
The black wrought iron structure represents a climbing rose stem, adorned with finely crafted leaves and flowers, illustrating the organic naturalism of the movement. The tulip-shaped shade is made of marbled glass paste, an emblematic technique of the French manufacture, and diffuses a soft light through its pink, yellow, and white nuances.
The lamp's overall condition is excellent considering its age. The original patina of the wrought iron has been preserved, adding to its authentic and historical character. The glass shade is intact and shows no visible defects.
This vintage luminaire is ideal as an accent lamp on a console, desk, or bedside table. It fits perfectly into a classic or Art Nouveau interior, bringing a touch of elegance and artistic craftsmanship.
