A collectible ewer from Bohemia, the world center of art glassmaking at the turn of the century. This ewer perfectly illustrates the Jugendstil style (Central European Art Nouveau). The blown glass features an iridescent sheen with intense metallic reflections and is decorated with hot-applied lines.
Origin: Bohemia (present-day Czech Republic), Kralik factory.
Technique: Iridescent "rainbow" blown glass with a fumanization technique (irridescent sheen with metallic reflections) and a decoration of raised lines.
Style: Typical of Austrian luxury glass production from 1900.
