Beautiful Art Nouveau / Art Deco table lamp from around 1910. The glass shade, which is held in place by three supports, is manufactured by Scailmont. Verrerie de Scailmont was founded in 1901 in Manage by HR Hirsch, Belgium. In 1908 Hirsch was relieved of his directorship and Georges Sacré was appointed as the new director. Sacré attached great importance to artistry and managed to bind a number of new designers to the company, including Henri Martin, Henri Heemskerk and Charles Catteau. Participation in the 1925 World's Fair increased Scailmont's popularity and the company grew to 800 employees in 1930. In 1976 Scailmont merged with Durobor, after which the company continued under the name Hainau. Production ended in 2000. The table lamp is in good/working condition and is approximately 40 cm high.
