Product description
Art - Art installation - Book
Dimensions: 15.5 x 5.5 cm H: 22.5 cm
Installation entitled "Promenade dans le Canton de Vaud" by François Bouillon n° 12/35. Installation: An installation is a three-dimensional work of art, often large-scale, that transforms a space into an immersive experience for the viewer. In this case, the work makes use of elements such as an artist's book, soil samples (which may evoke nature, terroir or matter), and so on.
François Bouillon was born in Limoges in 1944. A self-taught artist, his work is ethnological, mythological, symbolic and poetic, treated with great humor. He uses materials of natural (earth, stone, fire) and organic (plumes, bones) origin, and plays with counting and contradictions. He works in drawing, photography and sculpture.
François Bouillon is known for his installations, artist's books and works exploring the themes of memory and the ephemeral.
