Product description
Very beautiful Art Deco wall mask by Max Roesler from Rodach (Bavaria). This mask dates from the 1930s, the heyday of the Art Deco movement. The mask shows an elegant female profile with wavy yellow-glazed hair and softly applied red lips and a subtle blue detail in the form of an earring and collar fold, which is typical of Roesler's refined style from this period. Wall masks like this were extremely fashionable decorative pieces at the time. The green stamp on the back is the well-known trademark of the German porcelain and earthenware factory. The stamp shows a rose in a coat of arms. This specific logo was used by the factory in the 1930s and early 1940s (until the factory closed in 1941). The wall mask is still in very good condition.
