A vintage school lamp by Philips, characteristic of the Art Deco period. This type of pendant lamp was often used in schools and public buildings due to its functional design and diffuse light distribution.The lamp consists of an opal glass shade, which provides a soft and even light, and a chrome-plated metal rod with cover caps.The original power cord was completely perished and was replaced to prevent short circuits.The glass shade shows some small imperfections (an air bubble and a small black inclusion that is barely visible on the outside - see photos).The chrome-plated suspension rod and cover caps show a patina consistent with age; otherwise, the lamp is in very good condition.The glass shade has a diameter of 32 cm and is 26 cm high.The total height to the ceiling is 80 cm.
