Product description
Superb pair of Art Deco era bookends
(circa 1930) with a high-end
and sculptural design.
Each piece features a crested bird of paradise
with spread wings, a typical creation
of the great Parisian art foundries of the
thirties. The heavy metal sculpture with a double
silver and bronze patina rests on a geometric
base of genuine onyx of exceptional purity,
displaying honey and cream hues.
The chiseling work on the plumage and stylized
vegetation perfectly embodies the dynamism and
refinement of the modernist period.
These art objects of great finesse are
ideal for enhancing a collector's library
or adding a touch of retro prestige to a
distinguished office.
