About this seller
Private sellerProduct description
This is an authentic Art Deco table lamp from the 1930s, crafted from brass. The piece is a striking example of the design aesthetic from that period, characterized by its geometric shapes and functional elegance. Its most striking feature is the mushroom-shaped or 'UFO'-like shade, which gives the lamp a sculptural yet timeless appearance. The construction is entirely made of brass, which has developed a deep, characteristic patina over the years. The shade is designed to cast a soft and diffused light downwards, providing atmospheric and functional illumination, ideal for a desk or side table. The lamp rests on a sturdy, round base that perfectly balances the proportions of the shade and ensures the stability of the whole. The overall condition is good, in accordance with the age and use of the lamp. The patina is an integral part of its history and charm and testifies to its authenticity. The wiring appears to be original, contributing to the vintage character of the object. This lamp is a refined addition to various interior styles, from classic and Art Deco to a more eclectic decor. Placed on a dresser, desk, or nightstand, this piece adds an element of historical depth and understated luxury to the space.
