For the enthusiast, collector, or restorer: A beautiful, 100% original French Art Deco table lamp from the 1930s. This rare model features an iconic modernist design, recognizable by the wide, streamlined chrome mushroom or UFO shade and the stunning geometric, stepped stem. The lamp is in honest, unmolested vintage condition with a beautiful, weathered patina and the authentic discoloration on the chrome befitting an age of nearly a century. Important technical note (Restoration project): The cord and the push-button switch on the base have already been professionally replaced in a period-correct manner, ensuring the electrical system is in order. However, the lamp currently requires some TLC to restore it to its former glory: the shade needs to be reattached (a small amount of soldering required on the fixture base) and there is a small dent in the chrome shade. A fantastic and rewarding project for the enthusiast! Origin: France
