Private sellerProduct description
This is a set of two ceramic grains containers originating from Czechoslovakia in the 1950s. The design reflects the enduring influence of the Art Deco style, evident in the stepped silhouette and decorative typography.
Crafted from glazed ceramic, these containers feature a cream-coloured body accented with reddish-brown hand-painted bands and lettering. The labels 'Fazole' (Beans) and 'Hrách' (Peas) indicate their original purpose for pantry storage. The set includes two containers and their matching lids, each topped with a simple spherical finial.
Overall, the set is in good vintage condition, showing character consistent with its age and history. The original glaze remains intact, preserving the colour and finish of the pieces. These containers are a testament to mid-century European kitchenware design.
This pair of storage jars would serve as a functional and decorative element in a kitchen, fitting well within vintage, rustic, or eclectic interior styles. They can be used for their intended purpose or repurposed as unique decorative objects on open shelving or a countertop.
