Private sellerProduct description
A stunning and highly collectible two-piece Art Deco liqueur and elixir set, designed by the renowned silversmith Georg Nilsson for Gero Tin circa 1930.
This iconic Dutch design set features unique triangular, deep dark green blown glass bottles—expertly crafted in collaboration with the famous Glasfabriek Leerdam. Both pieces are beautifully mounted with Gero’s signature hand-hammered pewter details.
The set includes:
• Large Liquor Decanter: Features a striking scalloped pewter collar and retains its original, matching solid pewter ball stopper.
• Small Elixir / Bitter Bottle: A rare smaller companion flask equipped with its original functional pewter pouring spout.
Condition:
Both items are in beautiful vintage condition. The dark green glass is completely clear with a rich color and no limescale or cracks. The pewter mountings show a lovely authentic patina, adding true character to these 1930s design pieces.
Note: The original cork inside the small elixir bottle is currently stuck, which is common for pieces of this age, but the pewter pouring cap remains completely intact and removable.
Dimensions (including stoppers):
• Decanter: 24 x 12 x 12 cm
• Elixir bottle: 14 x 7 x 7 cm
A perfect eye-catcher for a mid-century sideboard, a vintage bar cart, or as a centerpiece for collectors of early 20th-century Dutch Art Deco design.
