About this seller
Private sellerProduct description
This Ianthe fireplace companion set is a striking example of Art Deco metalware, crafted in England. The set features a distinctive horseshoe-shaped stand that anchors the collection, embodying the geometric elegance characteristic of the era.
Constructed from chrome-plated metal, the set includes four essential tools: a brush, a shovel, a poker, and tongs. Each tool is topped with a stylized, fan-shaped finial that echoes the Art Deco aesthetic. The stand itself is supported by angled legs with contrasting tips, and bears the maker's mark "IANTHE MADE IN ENGLAND" along with a registered design number, confirming its provenance.
The set remains in good condition, retaining its original functionality and structural integrity. The chrome finish displays a patina consistent with age and use, adding authentic character to the piece.
Ideal for a period-correct interior or as a statement piece in a contemporary setting, this companion set brings both utility and historical design to the hearth. It pairs exceptionally well with other chrome or mirrored accents in a living space.
