A sublime Art Deco extendable table crafted from varnished Macassar ebony, featuring a magnificent vertical-grain veneer that offers an elegant contrast between the deep chocolate tones and the characteristic copper veins of this precious wood.
The gently curved tabletop is adorned in its center with an inlaid panel whose geometric chevron pattern adds further sophistication.
This subtle frame, highlighted by a light-colored stringing, visually structures the piece and showcases the marquetry work.
The table rests on four tapered wooden legs, refined at the base by brass sabots, a typical signature of 1940s French design.
The proportions are harmonious, and the overall impression is one of elegant lightness.
It is equipped with two side extensions that generously increase seating capacity while maintaining the purity of the lines when the extensions are closed (length with extensions: 249 cm).
