This elegant Art Deco display cabinet combines refined proportions with practical storage. Featuring a glazed upper section and a spacious lower cupboard, the piece showcases the streamlined forms and sophisticated craftsmanship associated with Central European Art Deco design of the 1930s.
Attributed to Jindřich Halabala and believed to have been produced by UP Závody in former Czechoslovakia, the cabinet reflects many of the designer's characteristic elements, including rounded corners, balanced geometric proportions, and richly figured wood veneers. The upper glazed section provides an ideal display area for books, ceramics, or collectibles, while the enclosed lower compartment offers generous concealed storage.
Constructed from veneered wood with glass-fronted display doors, the cabinet highlights the natural beauty of the timber grain. The piece remains in good vintage condition with signs of age and use consistent with its history. The structure is stable and presents well, preserving the character expected of an original Art Deco furnishing.
